PAXTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback at former league foe Anna Maria Thursday evening.
The Lions fall to 3-14 on the season with the decision while the AMCats improve to 8-8 overall.
Hannah Welsh (Derry, N.H.) paced the visitors with 13 digs, six kills, five assists and three aces on the night. Joanna Joseph (Brockton, Mass.) notched five kills and three solo blocks. Kayla Dean (Lansdale, Pa.) posted three kills, seven assists, eight digs and three service aces. Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.) and Madisen Robinson (West Grove, Pa.) each finished with 13 digs in the match.
Anna Maria clipped Eastern Nazarene 25-20 in the first set.
The AMCats edged the Lions in the second frame 26-24 before prevailing 25-21 in the third to lock up the win.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will head to North Dartmouth, Massachusetts for a pair of non-conference clashes against Mount Ida and UMass-Dartmouth October 3.
