Volleyball Suffers 3-0 Setback at Endicott
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road at Endicott Tuesday evening. The Lions sink to 13-15 on the season and 1-5 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Gulls improve to 19-13 overall and 6-2 in league action.
Senior Cayla Clinkscale (Winchendon, Mass.) led the visitors with 10 kills on the night to go with five digs. Kortney Jenkins (Bunker Hill, W.V.) posted a team-best 13 digs and added six kills in the match.
Hannah Welsh (Derry, N.H.) notched 10 digs and four kills while Sam Losano (Elverta, Calif.) tallied six digs. Rookie Lauryl Berger (Laurel, Del.) registered 20 assists in the contest.
Endicott claimed the first set 25-13 before pushing its lead to 2-0 with a 25-13 win in the second frame. The Gulls capped off the match with a 25-16 victory in the third set.
Mackenzie Guerre paced the home side with eight kills while Callie Dolan and Hayley Knapp each chipped in with seven.
Up next, the Lions will look to gain ground in the conference standings with a critical road match at Curry October 31.
