Women’s Track & Field Claims Fourth-Place at NECC Championships, Louis Places First in Discus Throw
WESTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's track and field team concluded their first-year of competition as members of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) by claiming a fourth-place finish in the NECC Championships at Regis College Sunday.
Three student-athletes represented the Lions at the conference meet.
Sandrid Louis (Coconut Creek, Fla.) tossed for 24.63 meters in the discus throw to earn first-place, while also placing second in the shot put at 9.28 meters.
Timiera Toland (Baltimore, Md.) ran 13.68 seconds in the 100-meter dash to collect a second-place finish, while also placing fourth in the 200-meters for the Lions with a time of 30.38 seconds.
Jaclyn Teed (Lansdale, Pa.) threw a personal-best 22.89 meters in the discus throw to grab third-place, while also competing in the shot put for Eastern Nazarene.
Eastern Nazarene finished with a total of 34 points. Newbury amassed 222 points to take home the crown, followed by Elms with 62 points and Lesley with 39 points.
