MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Gordon Tuesday evening in the first match of the spring season.
The Lions move to 2-10 on the year with the setback while the Fighting Scots improve to 7-4 overall.
Maria Busila (Malaga, Spain) and Katie Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) fell 8-0 at the top doubles spot to Jordyn Maddex and Annette Kim.
Mary Boucher (Whitinsville, Mass.) and Jenna Schlosser (Bridgewater, Mass.) absorbed an 8-0 loss to Madison West and Kristin Kendall at the No. 2 slot.
Mya Landry (Derry, N.H.) and Madison Rearick (Londonderry, N.H.) suffered an 8-0 setback at the No. 3 position to Abbigail Fournier and Joey Keltner.
Gordon swept the six singles matches to claim its second victory of the 2021-22 campaign over Eastern Nazarene.
Up next, the Lions will host Clark March 22.
