Women’s Tennis Blanked at Bridgewater State
BRIDGEWATER, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team absorbed a 9-0 loss at Bridgewater State in the final non-conference match of the fall Thursday afternoon.
The Lions progress to 2-7 on the season with the decision while the Bears improve to 5-2 overall.
Katie Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) and Jenna Schlosser (Bridgewater, Mass.) suffered an 8-2 setback at the top doubles spot to Madeline Von Ruden and Abigail Ramer.
Kari Bollinger (Alton Bay, N.H.) and Mary Boucher (Whitinsville, Mass.) fell to Olivia Sweeney and Vanessa Rosa 8-2 at the No. 2 position.
Mya Landry (Derry, N.H.) and Krista Signs (Mashpee, Mass.) endured an 8-0 loss at the third slot against Brianna Venditti and Mackenzie Silveira.
The home team collected six singles victories in straight sets to seal its second sweep of the season.
