Women’s Tennis Aced by Gordon, 9-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team absorbed a 9-0 loss to Gordon Monday afternoon at the ENC Tennis Courts.
The Lions sink to 2-4 on the season with the result while the Fighting Scots improve to 3-1 overall.
Maria Busila (Malaga, Spain) and Katie Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) dropped an 8-1 decision to Jordyn Maddex and Annette Kim at the No. 1 doubles spot.
Kari Bollinger (Alton Bay, N.H.) and Mary Boucher (Whitinsville, Mass.) fell 8-2 at the No. 2 slot to Madison West and Kristin Kendall.
Mya Landry (Derry, N.H.) and Krista Signs (Mashpee, Mass.) suffered an 8-0 setback to Allyson Fournier and Abbigail Fournier at the third doubles position.
Busila fell 6-2, 6-3 at the top singles position to Maddex while Jenna Schlosser (Bridgewater, Mass.) endured a 6-0, 6-0 loss at the No. 2 spot to Kim.
Bollinger dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision at the No. 3 slot to West and Cawthorne fell to Kendall 6-2, 6-4 at the fourth position.
Boucher absorbed a 6-0, 6-0 loss in the fifth singles match to Abbigail Fournier while Madison Rearick (Londonderry, N.H.) fell 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot to Allyson Fournier.
