Women’s Tennis Announces 2018 Spring Schedule

QUINCY, Mass.- After a strong fall season, the Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team will hit the courts for five matches in the spring to close out the 2017-18 campaign.
The Lions will travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina during Spring Break March 5-9 for the third year in a row. Eastern Nazarene will face St. John Fisher, Baldwin Wallace, William Woods, and Lynchburg during its trip to the Palmetto State.
After returning to Massachusetts, the Lions will wrap up the year on the road at Springfield March 20.
Under first-year head coach Jack Sahlman, Eastern Nazarene compiled a 10-6 record in the fall and posted a 4-4 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Eastern Nazarene reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament for the first time since 2004 and earned the No. 5 seed. The Lions upset fourth-seeded Gordon 5-2 in the quarterfinals to advance to the CCC semifinals for the first time in program history before falling to eventual-champion Nichols.
Junior Adele Duval (Reading, Calif.) and rookie Emily Ruttkowski (Castrop-Rauxel, Germany) collected All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honors in the fall. The duo combined to capture a spot on the All-CCC third team in doubles. Ruttkowski claimed All-CCC second team singles while Duval earned third team singles accolades to become the second three-time All-CCC honoree in program history.
