Women’s Tennis Earns CCC Team Sportsmanship Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene women's tennis team garnered the 2013 Commonwealth Coast Conference Team Sportsmanship Award, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Lions finished the 2013 campaign with a 1-10 overall record and a 0-8 mark in the conference.
This marks the program's first CCC Team Sportsmanship Award since the 2006 season.
Senior Juju Atwater (Weymouth, Mass.) led Eastern Nazarene with four singles wins while Kelsey Waddle (Olathe, Kan.) registered three victories in singles play.
The doubles pairs of Atwater and Sarah Layton (Bonney Lake, Wash.) and Hannah Lariviere (Biddeford, Maine) and Waddle each notched two wins in doubles action this season.
