Austin Steelman Returns to ENC as Assistant Tennis Coach
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene head tennis coach Cris Popa has named 2013 graduate Austin Steelman assistant tennis coach.
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene head tennis coach Cris Popa has named 2013 graduate Austin Steelman assistant tennis coach.
Steelman returns to Eastern Nazarene after recently completing a four-year career with the Lions. Steelman was a three-time All-Commonwealth Coast Conference first team singles selection while earning second team doubles honors as a senior, first team doubles accolades as a junior and receiving honorable mention doubles as a sophomore.
He was tabbed the 2012 Commonwealth Coast Conference Co-Player of the Year as a junior and was selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2013.
Steelman racked up 45 singles victories and 40 doubles wins while with the Lions. He helped lead Eastern Nazarene to three Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament appearances.
Steelman will be attending Harvard Law School in the fall.
