BRISTOL, R.I.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's tennis team absorbed a 9-0 loss on the road at Roger Williams Thursday afternoon. The Lions progress to 1-3 overall and 0-3 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The Hawks improve to 4-1 on the fall and 2-0 in the league.
Roger Williams claimed all three doubles points with a trio of 8-0 decisions in pairs play Thursday.
Elise Sleeper (Sanford, Maine) suffered a 6-0, 6-1 setback at the top singles slot to Samantha Curran. Kathryn McLaughlin (Huntington Station, N.Y.) fell 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot to Lauren Schmidt.
At the No. 6 position, Kelsey Waddle (Olathe, Kan.) dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to the Hawks' Olivia Hilton.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will host Mount Ida September 14 in non-conference action.
