Women’s Soccer Suffers 2-1 Setback at MCLA Tuesday

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team fell 2-1 on the road at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Tuesday evening.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• MCLA took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. Sarah Tomczyk knocked in her first goal of the season off of an assist from Cidnee Frymire.
• Eastern Nazarene pulled even in the 41st minute. Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) headed home her second tally of the fall after a corner kick delivered into the box by Rachel Pieger (Oakville, Conn.).
• The Trailblazers regained a one-goal edge with a strike in the 61st minute. Natalie Rich buried her first marker of the year while Frymire picked up her second assist of the match.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Goalkeeper Jasmine Arzu (Bronx, N.Y) recorded five saves in her sixth start.
• Both sides produced 12 shots on the night while MCLA finished with a narrow 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
