CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The No. 4 seed Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team bowed out of the New England Collegiate Conference with a loss at top-seeded Lesley in the semifinal round.
The Lions conclude the season with a 3-13-0 overall record with the result. The Lynx improve to 13-3-1 on the year and advance to their 13th-straight NECC championship with the victory.
The guests tallied a pair of goals in the match, finding the back of the net once in each half.
Beatriz de Oliveira Segato (Malden, Mass.) netted her second goal of the year in the 39th minute. The sophomore raced past the defense to pick-off a backwards pass before rolling the ball into the open net to get Eastern Nazarene on the board.
The Lions notched their second score of the game in the 76th minute. Kayla Dorn (Hampton, Ill.) collected her second marker of the fall as she knocked in a cross delivered into the box by Rachel Pieger (Oakdale, Conn.).
Eastern Nazarene finished the contest with six shots while Lesley racked up 41 attempts.
Senior goalkeeper Sophia Fevola (Wellington, Fla.) registered a career-high 16 saves in her 14th start.
