WENHAM, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Gordon Saturday afternoon.
The Lions sink to 0-3-0 on the season with the setback while the Fighting Scots improve to 4-0-0 overall.
The home team netted the match's opening goal in the fifth minute to grab a 1-0 lead. Calla Ashley registered her fourth marker of the year as Savannah Metz provided the assist.
Eastern Nazarene mustered one shot in the first 45 minutes of play while Gordon fired 11 attempts.
The Fighting Scots added a score in the 72nd minute to widen their advantage to 2-0 as Ashley bagged an unassisted tally to collect her team-leading fifth strike.
The Lions finished with three shots in the contest while the hosts rattled off 24 attempts.
Beatriz de Oliveira Segato (Malden, Mass.), Victoria Hern (Salem, N.H.), and Sam Baston (Carver, Mass.) all recorded one shot for the visitors.
Rookie goalkeeper Jazmine Arzu (Bronx, N.Y.) racked up 14 saves on the day in her second start.
