HENNIKER, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 setback at New England College Wednesday evening.
The Lions conclude the regular season with a 3-11-1 overall record and a 2-5 mark in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the result. The Pilgrims improve to 8-8-1 on the year and 5-1-1 in league play with the win.
The two teams battled to a scoreless first half with the hosts registering nine shots and the visitors firing a pair of shots.
New England College claimed a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute. Kayla Paquin netted her fifth goal of the season while Kaitlyn Kostigen picked up the assist.
The Pilgrims doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 68th minute. Molly Bieksha collected her sixth tally of the fall as Paquin provided the assist.
Eastern Nazarene produced six shots on the night and one corner kick. New England College racked up 20 shot attempts and 15 corner kicks in the contest.
Senior Griselda Minchaca (Whittier, Calif.) notched 11 saves between the pipes.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will make its second-straight New England Collegiate Conference Tournament appearance November 2.
