CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team suffered a narrow 1-0 setback at Lesley Wednesday evening.
The Lions slide to 2-10-1 on the season and 1-4-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the setback. The Lynx improve to 11-3-1 overall and 5-1-0 in league competition with the win.
The home side snagged a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute. Alexandria Torres collected her seventh goal of the season off of a feed from Claire Hounslow.
Eastern Nazarene mustered a pair of shots in the first frame while Lesley recorded 13 attempts.
The Lynx held the visitors at bay throughout the second stanza to log their second-consecutive victory.
The Lions concluded the match with four shots while Lesley racked up 27 shots on the night.
Senior Griselda Minchaca (Whittier, Calif.) tallied 11 saves in her 10th start of the fall.
