Bernardi, Fry Tabbed to All-NECC Women’s Soccer Third Team; Connors Named to NECC Sportsmanship Team
MARSHFIELD, Mass.- Sophomores Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Kyndall Fry (Tampa, Fla.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team have been named to the All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) third team while junior Michaela Connors (Norwell, Mass.) was selected to the NECC Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team, announced the league office Monday afternoon.
Bernardi paced the Lions with 29 points on the year as she ranked fifth in the conference with 12 goals while adding five assists. In league matches, she netted three goals and dished out one assist this fall.
Fry ranked third on the team with 19 points on the season. She ranked second in the league with seven assists while also notching six goals. In conference action, Fry scored three goals and picked up a pair of assists. She is one of four ENC players to start all 16 matches this year.
Eastern Nazarene sports a 7-8-1 overall record and finished the regular season with a 4-4-1 mark in the NECC. The Lions earned the No. 5 seed in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament and will face fourth-seeded Southern Vermont in the quarterfinals Saturday, October 27 at MCLA's Shewcraft Field.
