MILTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team absorbed a 3-0 setback at Curry Thursday evening in non-conference action.
The Lions slip to 2-3-0 on the year with the result while the Colonels improve to 5-1-0 overall.
The home team jumped ahead 1-0 with a strike in the fifth minute as Tayla Randall netted her fourth goal of the season.
Curry doubled its lead to 2-0 on Randall's second tally of the match and fifth of the fall in the 16th minute while Samantha Borges picked up an assist.
The Colonels tacked on a goal in the 33rd minute to widen the margin to 3-0. Sarah Stearns buried an unassisted marker to collect her third score of the season.
Eastern Nazarene managed four shots in the opening 45 minutes of play while Curry fired 14 shots.
Neither squad found the back of the cage in the second stanza as the hosts held on for the victory.
The Lions concluded the game with nine shots and one corner kick earned. The Colonels posted 27 shots on the night and drew four corner kicks.
Libby Nyquist (Barre, Vt.), Kennedy Dowling (Nashua, N.H.), Kyndall Fry (Tampa, Fla.), and Sam Bernardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) all recorded one shot on frame.
Goalkeeper Sarah Moschini (Upton, Mass.) registered eight saves in net for the visitors.
