BRISTOL, R.I.- The eighth-seeded Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at top-seeded Roger Williams Saturday afternoon in the Commonwealth Coast Conference quarterfinals.
The Lions conclude the 2015 campaign with a 5-9-3 overall record. The Hawks, ranked 23rd in the D3Socccer.com National Poll, improves to 17-0-3 on the year.
The home side got on the board in the 25th minute as Mariah Kaiser, the Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year, converted a penalty kick for her 14th goal of the season.
Roger Williams added a score in the 2:05 into the second stanza to widen the gap to 2-0. Jenna Hart fired her seventh tally of the fall into the lower left corner after a pass down the middle by Jessica Valenti.
The Hawks tacked on their third goal of the match in the 58th minute as Valenti netted her 11th marker of the year after a free kick delivered by Kristen Casey.
Eastern Nazarene managed just three shots on the day as Kyera Bryant (New Haven, Conn.), Kelly Couite (West Bridgewater, Mass.) and Katherine Lawrence (Marlborough, Conn.) all recorded one attempt. Roger Williams generated 33 shots in the contest while also holding a 9-0 margin in corner kicks earned.
Senior Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.), an All-Commonwealth Coast Conference third team selection, registered nine saves between the posts for the visitors.
