BRISTOL, R.I.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team suffered its first league loss of the season Saturday, absorbing a 2-0 setback at Roger Williams.
The Lions sink to 2-3-1 on the year and 1-1-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Hawks remain undefeated with an overall record of 5-0-2 to go with a mark of 2-0-0 in the league.
The hosts netted their first goal of the game in the 31st minute to take a 1-0 lead. Jessica Valenti notched her second marker of the season as she knocked in a feed from Mariah Kaiser.
Roger Williams added a score in the 53rd minute to double its advantage to 2-0. Haley Carignan converted a penalty kick to tally her third goal of the fall.
Eastern Nazarene managed just four shots on the day while the Hawks attempted 18.
Katherine Lawrence (Marlborough, Conn.) led the Lions with a pair of shots in the match, including the team's lone effort on frame.
Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) recorded four saves between the posts for the visitors. Sydney Martin and Alexis Wright combined to post Roger Williams' fourth shutout of the year.
