QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team played to a scoreless tie against Moravian Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Lions move to 0-1-1 on the season while the Greyhounds progress to 0-1-1 overall with the result.
The two squads played to a scoreless first half. The guests held an 8-4 margin in shots through 45 minutes of action while both teams each fire three attempts on frame.
Moravian nearly produced a score in the 88th minute but Lauren Bertucci's header hit the crossbar, keeping the match deadlocked at 0-0.
The Lions recorded seven shots during regulation while the Greyhounds attempted 23.
The visitors registered five shots in the overtime sessions to finish with 28 total tries. The hosts manufactured two attempts in the extra frames to conclude the match with nine shots.
Senior Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) made nine saves in goal for Eastern Nazarene to earn her 16th career shutout. Jacqueline Zalis stopped five shots between the posts for Moravian on the day.
Kelly Couite (West Bridgewater, Mass.) paced the Lions with four shots in the contest, including two on goal.
