Women’s Soccer’s Jules Speno Selected to NEWISA Senior Bowl
QUINCY, Mass.- Senior Jules Speno (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer has been chosen to participate in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Assocation (NEWISA) Senior Bowl.
The annual event, which brings together the region's top seniors from Division I, II and III, will be played at Merrimack College on Saturday, December 6, at 2:30 p.m. A total of 27 players from Division III institutions were invited to participate.
A three-time All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selection, Speno garnered All-CCC first team accolades for the second time in her career this fall.
Speno ranked second on the squad with 12 points during the 2014 campaign and started 19 of the 20 matches in which she saw action. The senior midfielder tallied five goals and added a pair of assists this season for the Lions.
She ranks second all-time in program history with 39 career goals and owns the program record with 14 career assists. Her 92 career points matched the program's all-time record.
Speno helped Eastern Nazarene to a 9-10-2 overall record and a 6-3-0 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Lions reached the CCC semifinals for the second time in the past three seasons while also earning their second-straight ECAC Tournament berth.
