Jenn Burnham Dubbed NECC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Senior Jenn Burnham (West Valley City, Utah) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, announced the league office Monday.
Burnham averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game as the Lions posted a 1-1 record at the Brandeis Tip-Off Tournament.
In a 59-51 loss to Framingham State, she poured in a team-high 20 points while adding two boards and two steals. Burnham capped off the week with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists to help Eastern Nazarene edge Nichols 66-63.
Burnham shot 44.4% from the floor on the week and 30.8% from behind the arc.
This season, she is averaging 14.0 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene returns to the court November 20 to take on NCAA Division I's Merrimack.
