Elia Salazar Tabbed to Women's Basketball All-CCC Third Team
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Senior Elia Salazar (Los Angeles, Calif.) of the Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team has been named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference third team, announced by the league office Monday.
Salazar averaged 7.2 points per game through the regular season and leads the Lions with 6.8 rebounds per game this season.
She has appeared in 22 games this year and made 20 starts. Salazar ranks third in the conference with 2.6 offensive boards per contest and eighth with 6.8 rebounds per game.
Salazar is shooting 46.6% from the floor this year, ranking sixth in the conference. This season she has recorded 149 total rebounds, 15 assists, 13 steals and eight blocks.
Eastern Nazarene owns an overall record of 14-11, marking the highest single-season win total since the 1999-2000 campaign. The Lions finished the regular season with a mark of 9-9 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Eastern Nazarene reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament for the fourth time in five years and will hit the road to battle Roger Williams. The sixth-seeded Lions and No. 3 seed Hawks will tip-off at 6 pm February 23.
