MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.- The Eastern Nazarene College softball team rolled past Cairn 11-1 before dropping a 5-2 decision to Penn College Tuesday at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene notched four runs in the bottom of the first inning to establish a 4-0 edge.
- The Lions tacked on two runs in the second to widen the gap to 6-0.
- Eastern Nazarene added a run in the third frame to extend its lead to 7-0.
- The Lions manufactured four runs in the fourth inning to stretch their advantage to 11-0.
- Cairn got on the board in the top of the fifth, scoring one run to cut the deficit to 11-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Bailey Olaveson (Lakeside, Calif.) posted one hit, three RBIs, and a pair of runs scored.
- Ashley Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) drove in three RBIs and landed one base knock.
- Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) registered two hits and three runs scored.
- Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) chipped in with two hits, one RBI, and one run.
- Caoimhe Wernsing (Brockton, Mass.) spun a complete game in her first pitching appearance of the spring. She finished with five strikeouts while scattering two hits, one walk, and one unearned run.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene opened the game with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning to seize a 2-0 lead.
- Penn College tallied one run in the bottom of the first to narrow the gap to 2-1.
- The Wildcats produced two runs in the third frame to claim a 3-2 edge.
- Penn College added a run in the fourth to double its advantage to 4-2.
- The Wildcats tacked on one run in the sixth inning to push the margin to 5-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Izabel Pozar (Flagstaff, Ariz.) recorded two hits, one run scored, and a stolen base.
- Faith Bonar (Omaha, Neb.) and Alexys Giddings (Kuna, Idaho) both chipped in with one base knock and one RBI.
- In the pitcher's circle, Alexys Giddings (Kuna, Idaho) and Abby Stansbury (Warren, Ore.) both tossed three innings and fanned one batter.
