Softball Adds Kaitlyn Jimenez to 2014 Squad
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene softball head coach Leah Hampton has announced the addition of Kaitlyn Jimenez for the 2014 season.
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene softball head coach Leah Hampton has announced the addition of Kaitlyn Jimenez for the 2014 season.
"Kaitlyn works hard and truly loves the sport. I am looking forward to the stability she will add to our defense," said Hampton, who is in her third season with the Lions. "Offensively, she is solid at the plate and will undoubtedly be an addition that will help us win ball games."
Jimenez, an infielder from Meriden, Conn., attends Francis T. Maloney High School.
She has racked up 20 RBIs and 24 hits for the Spartans, including seven extra-base hits. Jimenez owns a batting average of .387 to go with a .566 slugging percentage and a .441 on-base percentage. She has also swiped six bases in 20 games played.
Jimenez is also a member of the Connecticut Falcons Blue club team. She has appeared in 38 games and started 32 for the Falcons. Jimenez has collected 42 base knocks at the club level, including seven doubles and four triples.
In 2012, Jimenez earned all-conference accolades while also being tabbed a Junior Select All-Star.
