Bio

Billy Timmins enters his eighth year as head coach of the ENC cross country program. His attention to detail and spirit have encouraged ENC runners to reach their personal best in past seasons and he looks for the trend to continue in the future.

Timmins has been a competitive runner and tri-athlete for 30 years. He was an assistant to Steve Kelley while he developed the regional junior development team for the USA Triathlon.

"I grew up in Quincy and have tremendous respect for ENC and its athletic programs. My goal is to bring my passion for running to the cross country team each and every day,” said Timmins.

"Billy's athletic experience has proven to be a magnificent resource for me throughout the years. He has always been more than willing to offer advice without forcing it upon me. He is a true student of the sport, studying it and giving me feedback about the particulars of my running form and pacing. I have taken these suggestions to heart, and as a result, I have seen immediate improvements.” - Tim Snow (Professional Triathlete), 10th place at Ironman Lake Placid, 2008.

Timmins is also an Instructor and Coach at the Fitness Factor in Quincy, MA.
