Men’s Cross Country Places 19th at Emmanuel Saints Invitational Friday
BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team captured 19th place at the Emmanuel Saints Invitational Friday afternoon at Franklin Park.
The Lions finished ahead of Rivier, Suffolk, New England College, and Pine Manor in the team standings.
Kevin Rop (Silver Spring, Md.) paced Eastern Nazarene with a time of 33:36 on the 8K course.
Stephen Ingersoll (Newark, N.J.) crossed the finish line in 33:42 to finish right behind Rop.
Cody Brooks (Mifflinburg, Pa.) clocked in with a mark of 35:28 while Kyandre Martinez (Brockton, Mass.) finished in 35:33.
Justice Martins (Raynham, Mass.) and Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) also represented the Lions in the race.
Wentworth earned the team title after garnering the top two finishers. The Leopards' Alex Robbins bested the field with a time of 26:03 to claim the individual crown.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will compete at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships at the University of New England October 28.
