Men’s Cross Country Runs at Westfield State Invitational Saturday
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team finished 36th at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park.
The Lions placed just ahead of Suffolk in the team standings while Trinity captured the team title.
Stephen Ingersoll (Newark, N.J.) paced Eastern Nazarene with a personal-best time of 34:27.26 on the 8K course.
Cody Brooks (Mifflinburg, Pa.) crossed the finish line in 35:10.86 while Kevin Rop (Silver Springs, Md.) was right behind with a mark of 35:25.61.
Kyandre Martinez (Brockton, Mass.) clocked in with a time of 36:45.46 and Justice Martins (Raynham, Mass.) finished in 38:41.47.
Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) and Bryan Vassar (Worcester, Mass.) also represented the Lions.
Plymouth State's Sam Brunnette outran the field of 266 competitors with a time of 25:35.03 to claim the individual crown.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will race at the Emmanuel Saints Invitational October 13 at Franklin Park.
