Men’s Cross Country Grabs Fourth at Mass. Maritime Invitational
BOURNE, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team garnered a fourth-place finish at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational Friday afternoon at Falcon Golf Course.
The Lions outran Rivier and Pine Manor to earn fourth place out of six teams at the meet.
Stephen Ingersoll (Newark, N.J.) paced Eastern Nazarene with a time of 34:33 to capture 26th place while Cody Brooks (Mifflingburg, Pa.) crossed the finish line in 34:55 to take 27th place.
Kevin Rop (Silver Springs, Md) posted a mark of 35:51 and Kyandre Martinez (Brockton, Mass.) clocked in with a time of 37:38.
Justice Martins (Raynham, Mass.), Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.), and Bryan Vassar (Worcester, Mass.) also represented the Lions.
The Massachusetts Maritime Academy grabbed the team title with four runners in the top five. Naval Academy Prep's Brandon Sherrill bested the field with a time of 29:24.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will run at the Westfield State Invitational October 7.
