Men’s Cross Country Places 16th at Emmanuel Saints Invitational
BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team finished 16th at the 10th annual Emmanuel College Saints Invitational at Franklin Park Friday.
Greg Whitney (Henniker, N.H.) paved the way for the Lions with a mark of 29:22.71. Jean Baillargeon (Huntington, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 31:26.45 while Kevin Rop (Silver Spring, Md.) clocked in at 34:52.85.
Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.), Walker Norton (South Gardiner, Maine) and Brandon Russ (Warren, Pa.) also raced for Eastern Nazarene.
Wentworth took home the team title with three runners in the top 10. Fitchburg State's Jake Hastings posted the fastest time on the day with a mark of 26:31.
A total of 203 racers representing 22 teams tackled the terrain Friday.
Up next, the Lions will travel to the Ocean State to compete at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship meet hosted by Roger Williams University October 31.
