Men’s Cross Country Competes at Westfield State’s James Earley Invitational Saturday
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team placed 35th at Westfield State University's 20th Annual James Earley Invitational Saturday at Stanley Park.
Greg Whitney (Henniker, N.H.) paced the Lions with a time of 30:17.97. Kevin Rop (Silver Springs, Md.) clocked in with a mark of 35:17.48.
Jean Baillargeon (Huntington, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 36:02.69 and Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) set a new personal best with a time of 36:08.46.
Josh Eisenberg (Millville, N.J.) also ran for Eastern Nazarene.
Jesse Regnier, a Westfield State alumnus, bested the field with a mark of 25:53.77. Union College captured the team title after placing two runners in the top-six.
A total of 373 competitors representing 38 teams tackled the 8-kilometer course Saturday.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene returns to action October 16 at the Emmanuel College Invitational at Franklin Park in Boston.
