Men’s Cross Country Races at UMass-Dartmouth Invitational Saturday
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team competed at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Lions were led by Greg Whitney (Henniker, N.H.) with a time of 32:46.21 on the five-mile course.
Kevin Rop (Silver Spring, Md.) posted a personal-best with a mark of 35:52.07. Christian Lynch (Alpharetta, Ga.) also set a new personal-record at the meet, crossing the finish line in 35:52.43.
Walker Norton (South Gardiner, Maine) and Brandon Russ (Warren, Pa.) also represented Eastern Nazarene at the race.
A total of 324 runners from over 40 teams tackled the course. Brandeis took home the team crown after edging out East Stroudsburg, Connecticut College and Franklin Pierce. Southern New Hampshire's Ignatio Hernando won the individual title with a time of 25:13.61.
Up next, the Lions return to action September 26 at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational.
