Men’s Cross Country Races at Westfield State Invitational
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's cross country team claimed 34th place overall at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park on Saturday.
Gregory Whitney (Henniker, N.H.) posted the Lions' fastest time on the day with a mark of 30:24.20.
Hunter Hill (North Wales, Pa.) crossed the finish line with a season-best time of 31:08.82 while Dan Cantrell (Strasburg, Va.) clocked in at 36:33.54 to also set a new season best.
Yusuf Mansaray (Boston, Mass.), Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) and Josh Eisenberg (Millville, N.J.) also ran for Eastern Nazarene.
A total of 388 runners from 37 institutions took to the 8K course Saturday.
The host Owls retained the team title while Cole Townsend of Williams College paced the field with a time of 25:49.44.
Up next, the Lions will run in the Emmanuel College Invitational held at Franklin Park October 17.
