Men’s Volleyball Stuns Nationally-Ranked Springfield, 3-2
QUINCY, Mass. – The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team pulled off the biggest win in program history Wednesday evening, upsetting No. 7 Springfield 3-2 at the Lahue Athletic Center. The Lions clawed back from an 0-2 deficit to claim the program's first-ever victory over a nationally-ranked opponent.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The visitors rolled to a 25-13 win in the opening set to establish a 1-0 edge.
- Springfield earned a 25-19 victory in the second frame to double its advantage to 2-0.
- Eastern Nazarene bounced back to capture the third 25-22 to narrow the deficit to 2-1.
- The Lions prevailed 25-18 in the fourth to level the match at 2-2 and force a winner-take-all fifth set.
- In the decisive fifth game, the home team triumphed 15-10 to cap off the reverse-sweep.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) racked up a match-high 20 kills while adding four aces and five digs.
- Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) notched 11 kills and eight digs.
- Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) tallied nine kills while Jacob Lotts (Mission Viejo, Calif.) added six kills.
- Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) finished with 39 assists and eight digs.
- Giancarlo Carrion and Ethan Walters paced Springfield with 10 kills each while Dylan Mulvaney registered 41 assists and 12 digs.
