Garcia Fernandez Tallies 1,000th Career Kill as Men’s Volleyball Edges SUNY Poly, 3-2, on Senior Night
QUINCY, Mass. – Senior Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) became the first individual in program history to reach 1,000 career kills as the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team erased a 2-0 deficit to triumph 3-2 over SUNY Poly Friday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The visitors eked out a 25-23 decision in the first frame to snag a 1-0 edge.
- SUNY Poly claimed the second set 25-20 to double its lead to 2-0.
- Eastern Nazarene clawed back to capture the third 25-13.
- The Lions cruised to a 25-12 victory in the fourth frame to knot the match at 2-2.
- In the winner-take-all fifth set, Eastern Nazarene prevailed 15-10 to lock up its second-consecutive league win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) racked up a match-best 31 kills to go with 11 digs and four aces.
- Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) tallied 12 kills and seven digs on the night.
- Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) chipped in with nine kills and four service aces.
- Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 43 assists and added four aces while Christopher Gil (Lawrence, Mass.) recorded 12 assists.
- Jason Aubrey paced the Wildcats with 13 kills while James Mion notched 11 kills and Joshua Slater registered 35 assists.

Following the Lions' dramatic, come-from-behind victory, the ENC men's volleyball team honored its six seniors: Alejandro Garcia Fernandez, Christopher Gil, Aaron Huang, Matthew Mucha, Ian Pacheco, and Delfy Soler.
