Men’s Volleyball Notches Two Wins at Northern Vermont-Johnson

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team collected a pair of 3-0 victories at Northern Vermont-Johnson Saturday afternoon.

MATCH ONE
THE BASICS:
Score: Eastern Nazarene 3, Northern Vermont-Johnson 0
Records: Lions (13-11, 3-2 NECC) | Badgers (10-6, 1-5 NECC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:                              

• Eastern Nazarene rolled to a 25-14 win in the first set to establish a 1-0 lead.
• The Lions cruised to a 25-10 victory in the second frame to double their advantage to 2-0.
• The visitors claimed a 25-16 decision in the third to wrap up the sweep.
  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) tallied a team-high nine kills to go with three blocks and three aces.
• Nick Thibeau (Spencerport, N.Y.) racked up a season-best seven kills while adding three blocks.
• Nathan Jacques (Casselberry, Fla.) chipped in with 10 assists, eight service aces, and three kills.
• Luke Walters paced the Badgers with six kills while Eli Harden registered 13 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:                              

• Eastern Nazarene coasted to a 25-11 victory in the opening frame to seize a 1-0 edge.
• The guests captured the second set 25-16 to widen the margin to 2-0.
• The Lions triumphed 25-18 in the third set to lock up their second win of the afternoon.
  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Nathan Jacques (Casselberry, Fla.) finished with 13 digs, nine kills, and three assists.
• Jacob Lotts (Mission Viejo, Calif.) notched a career-best eight kills while Ian Pacheco (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) posted seven kills.
• Christopher Gil (Lawrence, Mass.) dished out 12 assists and Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) recorded 11 assists.
• Dominic Phelps led Northern Vermont-Johnson with five kills and six digs in the match.
