Men’s Volleyball Rolls to 3-0 Victory at Colby-Sawyer
NEW LONDON, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team coasted to a 3-0 win at Colby-Sawyer Wednesday evening.
The Lions jump to 8-6 on the season with the victory while the Chargers dip to 1-8 overall with the result.
Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) notched 11 kills and three aces. Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) registered eight kills on the night. Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 16 assists and Christopher Gil (Lawrence, Mass.) added 10 assists. Fernando Paredes (Passaic, N.J.) collected 16 digs in the win while Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass) dealt eight service aces.
The guests cruised to a 25-9 victory in the opening set to construct a 1-0 advantage.
Eastern Nazarene doubled its lead to 2-0 in the match after triumphing 25-12 in the second frame.
The Lions captured the third set 25-13 to lock up their seventh-straight win.
Isaac Davies, Christopher Huynh, and Eric Miller all recorded four kills to lead Colby-Sawyer while AJ Gnieski posted 3 assists.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will host Rivier February 25.
