Men’s Volleyball Earns 3-0 Win at Emerson
BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team notched a 3-0 victory at Emerson Thursday evening.
The visiting Lions improve to 2-6 on the season with the win while the host Lions slide to 1-2 overall.
Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) racked up a team-best 14 kills to go with four total blocks. Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) posted 10 kills, five digs, three service aces, and three assists on the night. Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) registered 27 assists while Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) added six kills and Fernando Paredes (Passaic, N.J.) recorded seven digs.
Eastern Nazarene captured the first set 25-19 to snag a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Nazarene prevailed 25-20 in the second frame to extend its advantage to 2-0.
Eastern Nazarene edged Emerson 25-23 in the third to snap a three-match skid.
Neiko Pittman paced the home team with nine kills and four blocks while Bayden Slavik dished out 14 assists.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will host Emerson and Kean in a tri-match February 5.
