Men’s Volleyball Blanked by Wentworth
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback to Wentworth Wednesday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
The Lions move to 8-4 on the season with the result while the Leopards, who are receiving votes in the AVCA National Poll, improve to 8-2 overall.
Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with a team-high eight kills and seven digs on the night. Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) recorded seven kills and five digs while serving the squad's lone service ace. Brandon Jenkins (Norton, Mass.) posted 19 assists and four digs.
The visitors cruised to a 25-14 in the opening set to claim a 1-0 lead.
Wentworth extended its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-17 win in the second frame.
The Leopards registered a 25-12 decision in the third set to lock up a 3-0 victory over the Lions for the third-straight year.
Hunter Oshman paced Wentworth with 10 kills while Augusto Rodriguez-Guerrios contributed with 19 assists and Connor Adams added 12 assists.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene heads to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a tri-match with Emmanuel February 15.
