Delfy Soler Collects Third-Straight NECC Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week Nod
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Freshman Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for the third-consecutive week, announced the league office Monday.
Soler posted 43 kills, 25 digs, five total blocks, and a pair of service aces in a 2-0 week for the Lions.
The rookie racked up 21 kills, 11 digs, and four blocks as Eastern Nazarene downed Colby-Sawyer 3-1 on the road.
Soler capped off the week with 22 kills and 14 digs as the Lions defeated Emerson 3-1.
This season, Soler paces the conference with 168 total kills and ranks second nationally with 11.40 attacks per set. He has also notched 74 digs, 19 total blocks, 12 aces, and 12 assists this year.
Eastern Nazarene sports an 8-3 overall record and returns to the court February 12 to host nationally-ranked Wentworth.
