Fourth-Seeded Men’s Volleyball Faces No. 5 Seed Newbury in NECC Tournament Tuesday
QUINCY, Mass.- The No. 4 seed Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team hosts fifth-seeded Newbury in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament first round Tuesday evening.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene finished the regular season with a 14-15 overall record, matching the program's single-season record for wins. The Lions posted an 8-6 mark in the New England Collegiate Conference to claim the No. 4 seed in the NECC Tournament. Newbury enters the match with a 7-18 record on the year and earned the No. 5 seed in the NECC Tournament with a 6-8 mark.
POSTSEASON HISTORY:
Eastern Nazarene is making its third-straight trip to the NECC Tournament in its third season of varsity play. The Lions reached the NECC Tournament semifinals for the first time in program history last season. Eastern Nazarene and Newbury squared off in the NECC Tournament first round in the Lions' first season of competition in 2017.
LIONS VS. NIGHTHAWKS:
Eastern Nazarene and Newbury have faced off seven times with the Lions owning a 6-1 all-time record. The Lions have prevailed in the last four meetings with the Nighthawks' lone win in the all-time series coming in the 2017 NECC Tournament. The two teams first met on the court January 26 in Eastern Nazarene's first-ever varsity match with the Lions rallying back from a 2-0 deficit to triumph 3-2 in front of a raucous home crowd.
