Men’s Volleyball Rolls Past Lesley, 3-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team overpowered Lesley to collect a 3-0 victory Tuesday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
The Lions improve to 10-12 on the season and 5-4 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the win. The Lynx slide to 0-8 overall and 0-7 in league play with the loss.
Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) notched a match-high nine kills while James Hoopes (Lenexa, Kan.) posted four kills. Arthur Kossoski (Malden, Mass.) finished with three kills and four digs. Brandon Jenkins (Norton, Mass.) recorded 22 assists and three kills. Danny Blue (Lansdale, Pa.) dealt a match-best five service aces and Quinn Smith (Galway, N.Y.) registered four aces on the night.
The hosts tallied the first five points of the opening frame and cruised to a 25-7 victory to grab a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Nazarene stretched its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-6 decision in the second set after chalking up the final seven points.
The Lions triumphed 25-14 in the third to snag their eighth-straight win over Lesley.
Alexander Genova paced the visitors with five kills and eight digs while John Gersbeck added six assists and two kills.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene continues the home-stand March 21 against Newbury.
