Men’s Volleyball Downs Dean 3-0 Friday
FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team topped Dean 3-0 Friday evening in a league tilt.
The Lions improve to 7-10 on the season and 2-3 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the win. The Bulldogs fall to 1-11 overall and 0-3 in conference competition with the result.
Samuel Cueva (Swampscott, Mass.) notched a match-high 10 kills. James Hoopes (Lenexa, Kan.) finished with eight kills, four aces, and five digs. Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) and Brock Pease (Marshfield, Mass.) each chipped in with five kills and a pair of service aces. Brandon Jenkins (Norton, Mass.) dished out 23 assists.
The visitors grabbed a 1-0 advantage after capturing the opening set 25-20.
Eastern Nazarene stretched the gap to 2-0 with a 25-17 decision in the second game.
The Lions rolled to a 25-8 victory in the third to clinch their second conference win of the year.
John Kauffman paced Dean with eight kills while Chadd Pelletier added 12 assists and six digs.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene heads to Lesley March 9 for an NECC tri-match with Elms.
