Arthur Kossoski Sweeps NECC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Awards
MARSHFIELD, Mass.- Arthur Kossoski (Malden, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, announced the league office Monday.
Kossoski averaged 2.67 kills per set and 2.33 digs per set in a three-match week for the Lions.
In Eastern Nazarene's loss at Emerson, the rookie tallied four aces and four digs to go with three kills.
Kossoski notched a career-high 11 digs and added five kills as the Lions dropped a 3-0 decision to Emmanuel.
He capped off the week with a career-best 16 kills along with six digs as Eastern Nazarene cruised past York (N.Y.) 3-0.
Kossoski ranks fourth in the New England Collegiate Conference with 69 kills on the year and is averaging 2.65 kills per set with 1.77 digs per set.
The Lions boast a 3-5 overall record and return to the court February 13 to host Pine Manor.
