Men’s Volleyball Absorbs 3-0 League Loss at Regis
WESTON,Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Regis (Mass.) Saturday afternoon.
The Lions fall to 11-9 on the year and 4-7 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the setback. The Pride improved to 13-12 overall and 8-1 in conference action with the win.
Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) racked up a team-high 10 kills in the match to go with a pair of blocks. Colin Fischer (Lansdale, Pa.) chipped in with three kills and three total blocks in the contest. Derek Fowler (Williamstown, N.J.) and Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) both finished with two kills and a pair of blocks on the day. Matthew Tyree (Lansdale, Pa.) recorded 13 assists, three digs, and two service aces in the match.
The home side claimed the opening set 25-15 to capture a 1-0 advantage.
Regis prevailed 25-18 in the second game to widen the margin to 2-0.
The Pride capped off its eighth conference victory of the season with a 25-12 win in the third frame.
Sean Bisnett notched a match-high 18 kills on the afternoon for Regis.
