Men’s Volleyball Collects 3-0 Victory at Dean
FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team downed Dean 3-0 Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
The Lions improve to 8-7 on the season with the win while the Bulldogs drop to 2-17 overall.
Derek Fowler (Williamstown, N.J.) posted a match-high eight kills while adding five digs and one rejection. Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) chipped in with nine digs and seven kills on the night. Brandon Jenkins (Norton, Mass.) set new career-highs with six digs and five kills in the match. James Garofalo (Commack, N.Y.) finished with four kills and a pair of blocks. Matthew Tyree (Lansdale, Pa.) racked up 19 assists, five digs, and five service aces
After scoring the first eight points of the opening set, the visitors prevailed 25-14 in the first game to grab an early 1-0 edge.
Eastern Nazarene picked up a 25-17 win in the second frame to widen the gap to 2-0.
The Lions triumphed 25-19 in the third to notch their third victory of the season over Dean.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene returns to conference play March 25 with matches against Newbury and Endicott at Newbury College.
