Men’s Volleyball Topped by Regis Thursday
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback to Regis (Mass.) Thursday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
The Lions sink to 3-3 on the year and 2-3 in the New England Collegiate Conference. The Pride improves to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in league action with the outcome.
Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) paced the home team with eight kills and seven digs on the night. Derek Fowler (Williamstown, N.J.) notched four kills while Colin Fischer (Lansdale, Pa.) posted three kills and three digs. Matthew Tyree (Lansdale, Pa.) finished with 14 assists, three digs, and one service ace.
The visitors claimed a 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-18 victory in the opening set.
Regis doubled its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-10 win in the second frame.
The Pride prevailed 25-11 in the third game to pick up its first conference victory of the season
Sean Bisnett led Regis with 12 kills while Wade Robidoux chipped in with nine kills and Joe Hanrahan handed out 33 assists.
