QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team absorbed a 3-0 loss to Endicott Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
The Lions move to 3-2 on the year and 2-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The Gulls improve to 6-8 overall and 1-0 in league action with the result.
Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) finished with seven digs and six kills. Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) chipped in with five digs and three kills while Derek Fowler (Williamstown, N.J.) added three kills. Matthew Tyree (Lansdale, Pa.) registered 14 assists, two digs, and one kill.
The visitors claimed a 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-12 win in the opening set.
Eastern Nazarene dropped a 25-10 decision in the second game as Endicott extended its advantage to 2-0.
The Gulls notched their first conference victory with a 25-14 win in the third frame.
Tim Fieseler paced Endicott with eight kills while three players contributed with five kills on the day.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene hosts Regis (Mass.) February 16.
