No. 2 Seed Men’s Tennis Set to Host CCC Semifinal Match Wednesday
QUINCY, Mass.- Qualifying for the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament for the eighth-consecutive season, the Eastern Nazarene College men's tennis team will host a semifinal match May 2 at the ENC Tennis Courts. The No. 2 seed Lions will square off against third-seeded Roger Williams in the CCC semifinals for the second-straight year.

HOW THEY GOT HERE:
Eastern Nazarene finished the regular season with a 16-3 overall record to go with a 7-1 league mark to capture the No. 2 seed in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament. Roger Williams earned the No. 3 seed and advanced to the semifinals with a 5-1 victory over Western New England in the opening round.
CCC TOURNAMENT HISTORY:
Eastern Nazarene has reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament 10 times in program history, including each of the past eight seasons. The Lions have advanced to the CCC semifinals four times and reached the CCC Championship match last season.
ENC vs. RWU – SERIES HISTORY:
Eastern Nazarene and Roger Williams have met 45 times on the courts with the Hawks holding a 37-8 edge. The Lions have won the last three matches against Roger Williams, including a 5-4 decision in the CCC semifinals a year ago. Eastern Nazarene topped the Hawks 6-3 earlier this season in Rhode Island.
LEAGUE LAURELS :
Junior Alex Partyka (Moscow, Russia) repeated as Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year while 15th-year head coach Cristian Popa was named the CCC Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive season. Partyka also picked up his third-straight All-CCC first team singles nod. Sophomore Henry Siercke (Hamburg, Germany) was tabbed to the All-CCC second team in singles. Sophomore Laurent Ruttkowski (Castrop-Rauxel, Germany) earned All-CCC third team honors. The doubles tandem of Partyka and Ruttkowski collected All-CCC first team doubles accolades as well.
