Men’s Tennis Blanks Becker for Third Straight Win, 9-0
LEICESTER, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's tennis team notched its third victory in a row, defeating Becker 9-0 in non-conference play Tuesday afternoon.
The Lions improve to 10-6 on the season while the Hawks fall to 6-3.
Alex Partyka (Moscow, Russia) and Vladislav Tolmachev (Perm, Russia) picked up an 8-2 win over Daniel Dettinger-Klemm and Aaron Peterson at the top doubles spot.
Yahalel Carter (Chicago, Ill.) and Shaw Campbell (Redding, Calif.) collected an 8-1 victory over Brittan Morris and Connor Allison at the No. 2 position.
Kevin Paterno (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Brandon Jenkins (Norwood, Mass.) prevailed 8-2 at the third slot over Throngpol Chinpanjapol and Francis Musick.
Partyka downed Dettiinger-Klemm 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1 singles position. Tolmachev cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the second slot over Peterson.
Paterno rolled past Morris 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot and Campbell coasted to a 6-1, 6-1 win at the fourth position over Allison.
Carter recorded a 7-5, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 slot and Jenkins blanked Thomas Lanphear 6-0, 6-0 at the sixth spot.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will host Wentworth in the final home match of the regular season April 20.
